Stories: taking shape in speaking and writing

growing from and with their histories,

explored through artistic expression.

The Monk and the Little Bird and Other Tales of Being Here and Passing On.

Cropped tree. Monastery cemetery.

In grief and consolation, people are as different as their faces.
For thousands of years, they have asked themselves what becomes of us afterwards.

Fairy tales, legends, and folk narratives have never offered only a single answer. They speak of ghosts and restless wanderers, of quiet encounters between worlds, of loss, remembrance, and the courage to continue despite everything.

Between Halloween and Totensonntag (Germany’s Sunday of Memorial/Eternity) these stories accompany us through reflections on life and death, sometimes dark, sometimes strange, sometimes consoling.

This event will take place in German. Entry and snacks are free of charge. A tip for the congregation’s local programs is appreciated.
