Ferryman, Haul Over!

The River Rhine early morning in November after first frost night with gulls and fog

A river connects, and it divides. Between riverbank and current, paths emerge: unplanned, and yet full of meaning.

Storyteller Marianne Jessen invites you on a journey along the Rhine and beyond: Into stories of crossings and transitions, of people who lived by the water, stories of what they carried, and of what carried them.

A poetic evening filled with imagery, sound, and depth and an invitation to listen, to follow, and to immerse yourself.

A (German language) event hosted by the Erlösergemeinde as part of the AKK Cultural Days, with support from the Cultural Office of the City of Wiesbaden. All events of this program are free of charge.

My sincere thanks go to my esteemed fellow storyteller, Georg Fiedler, for his advice and for sharing the art of storytelling.

I would also like to express my special thanks to the Gesellschaft für Heimatgeschichte Kastel e.V. (Kastel Society for Local History), which kindly agreed to provide historical decorations for the event.
